This is my recent creation. It’s a bit of a mess really, i’ve been making it up as I go. It’s for one of my side classes fabric manipulation not my favourtie class, hard to get my head around when I have so much work to do, but I have kinda been enjoying it haha. The breif is to make a top using three different fabric manipulations. so far I have used double ended ruffles and quilting…. still looking for a third any ideas?….

I want these babies so bad!
I’m happy to admit im not the best drawer out there. But these are my final designs for my summer collection. My collection is about Hybridization, the influences of the western world on traditional cultures. I have specifically looked at the Ndebele people. What we associate with them as being tradition has only come about in the 1940’s.
I have come up with my own brightly coloured geometric pattern referencing the Ndebele wall art, which I am getting digitally printed onto a silk georgette and viscose fabrics. I’m also using fringing referencing the tribal dance costumes.
Im so looking forward to getting properly started. Dont have long to go now though. Shall keep you updated.

I don’t think feelings change, nor people, I think situations do. I know that it’s possible to dislike someone after loving them so much or to love someone after feeling so much hate towards them but, it’s not because people change, it’s because it’s not the same. It’s because something made you think differently, something opened your eyes. Something caused you to see everything the way it is at last. It’s like days. Days can be cloudy, or days can be sunny. Days don’t change, the weather does. And nothing can play a part or fix it, they can just let it be.

The highlight of yesterday was going to be the WORLD show. We had plenty of time to kill so we went out for dinner to Portofino along the viaduct. I orderd a margarita pizza which was absolutly delicious. Sadly after I started not to feel well so to my disapointed I had to leave but luckily for me the show was streamed on TV for New Zealands Next top model. I wouldnt say it was my favourite show of the week as Im not the biggest fan of WORLD but their show was very much a performance. Highlight was deffinantly at the begining- the neon light outfits. Photos to come.
Swarms of girls walking at such speed that I would say they were running. The viaduct event center was suddenly flooded with thousands of teens…. The doors had opened to the Designer Garage sale. Girls going nuts over Lonely Hearts current season. It was all way to much for me. I just followed my friend Chelsea around giving her the node if she picked something up that I thought was worth buying. But my god was I happy to get out of there! A few things attracted my eye but im trying to be very careful with my money at the moment so I did not walk out with any bargins.
